For the love of all things free I would like to say that for
me things that come without a price are better than Christmas treats and gifts.
It is free, it is unexpected and it makes us, the consumers, happy. Oftentimes
the deal we are served is not as fair as it seems. Let’s be honest, more often
than not it is something like this, “Spend
$30 on a makeover and get a lipstick that is not your color, a cheap mascara that you do not
need and a shiny tote bag to hold it all that you will never use.”
Most deals are like this. You will buy so many things that you do not want to
get so many things that you do not need and it will seem like such a great
deal. Funny, isn’t it?
Free things cost
us more than things with a price tag. Say you went to the departmental store
with a list to get your weekly groceries. You see a jar of pickle with which they
are offering a free packet of noodles. Now you do not like or consume pickle
and it is a pricey deal. But if you fail to ignore the free packet of noodles
then you WILL end up with the jar and the small packet of noodles which in all
probability you will not even eat. See? That is the extra cost I was talking
about. Not only that, time and attention are some of your most valuable
resources which you will be losing in deciding over such a deal.
But all free
things don’t come with disadvantages. For example, the free salon software offered by prestigious developers such as
Siboom. In fact the advantages outweigh the disadvantages at all times. So what
are the benefits? Here they are:
·
It is
Free! Free! Free! - You do not have to spend a single penny to purchase it.
Even if you are going blind into this, you will not face monetary loss if the
software fails to impress.
·
Free software gives users the freedom to study
how the program actually works by accessing the source code, writing additional
code, testing, modifying and distributing it. The intrinsic workings of the
program are for you to discover and utilize. These things are prohibited in
case of paid programs.
·
Generally
paid programs keep moving forward based on paid upgrades. If you want to keep
accessing something that is no longer supported by the system then you have two
options: use an unsupported version or get an upgrade. The free program does
not impose such upgrades.
But where will
you get such a version? If you want you can check out the software offered by
Siboom. It is truly free, easy to install and easy to run. Check out the
credentials of the organization at: http://www.siboom.com/.
